Overview

Control Room Finance supported a self-funded, pre-revenue online networking business readying themselves for the launch of the product. We helped deliver a data analytics strategy to drive engagement, automated finance processes, devised a structured development testing plan and advised on the migration of the existing environment to AWS.

Control Room Finance took a holistic approach, reviewing what data was already present, what systems were used by the company, and how they interacted with one other

We broke the business and its objectives into component parts in order to ask the right questions:

  • What is the Minimal Viable Product for the customer?

  • What infrastructure is needed to support that product?

  • What is the vision for the product for the next 3 - 12 months post-launch?

Working with the business to answer these questions, that guided us as to how we approached the problem and worked with client.

We embedded into the team, building strong relationships across the business and the key supplies to agree a plan of action; supporting the development of the product so it was launch-ready, built rapport and trust in order to better and more effectively make decisions.

Once reviewed, Control Room Finance identified further opportunities to streamline the business implementing the following solutions:

  • Power BI implementation 

  • Integrated Stripe, Chargify and Xero with each other to create an automated subscription process

  • Remained in an advisory role post launch

Results

Pre-launch issues were resolved prior to launch so a product was available to consumers on the date agreed with as few problems as possible. Prior to launch, all solutions were put in place so customers could enjoy a seamless subscription and sign up process, and the back end automation saved time and money for the company.

Control Room Finance continue to work with the client, assisting with their first round funding process. We now provide the team with ongoing business planning and modelling advice to support their next round of investment.
